Osteria Coogee

Osteria has been a regular for us for over 4 years. From the outstanding oysters to the tender octopus, every dish is a delight. The service here is top-notch, always attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the wonderful ambiance of Coogee. Whether it's the gnocchi, pork chop, or the cocktails, we've enjoyed it all, especially the Sicilian margaritas. We love the flexibility of the menu, and we highly suggest trying the tasting menu to experience most of the offerings. It's the perfect place to sit back, unwind from the busy life, and relax. We've celebrated many special moments here, and each visit leaves us looking forward to the next. The food was excellent. The oysters with the soy vinaigrette was on point. The 18hour fermented focaccia was the absolute show stopper and a must get! We got double servings because it was so good. The octopus was tender. The gnocchi was fluffy and truffle forward. Pork chop was surprisingly good. Cocktails were solid and well priced. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Being in Coogee, the ambience was just lovely. Well worth a trek!

Had a fantastic dinner on a sunny Sunday evening. Rare to find an Italian restaurant nowadays that just does things right. I had focaccia, Burrata, pizza fritta, pacheri and a tiramisu. All very good. Slight grumbles…. Not enough porchetta in the pizza fritta and the salsa verde was a bit bland. Not as punchy as salsa verde usually is. Also I couldn’t really taste the amaretto in my Tiramisu and was a bit shocked to find there was no coffee in there but not a big deal. A great meal however, very much enjoyed. Refreshing to see Italian food this good! Would absolutely return and have already recommended to friends!
